Oh my goodness, the sound of rain really adds to the effect of this AMBROSIAL work! ;A; Did I mention that I LOVE rain? Well I do. This is the perfect cozy picture to stare at while sipping tea on a cold, unforgiving weather. The transition from the cold and dark side where Daniel is standing to the warm glow of Alexander's candle is so awe inspiring!

ReplyDeleteGosh---the rain soundtrack combined with this pictures makes me want to curl up in a blanket and nap quietly near a fire. Everything about this painting and music combo makes me feel so calm and at ease.
In a way...its almost symbolic. Alexander is always looking straight ahead at his tasks, while Daniel...always seems to be thinking of something else. Its calming, and yet its almost sad. Like Daniel feels trapped in his situation.
I really can't get enough of your Alexander-wrinkles. You painted them so well, and I feel like I could actually touch them! I think I'm going to revisit this page often when I want to relax! =w=///

My jeebus I really admire your sense of atmosphere in all your concepts. They are just mind blowing, I am left mind boggled everytime LOL for redundancy XD That just shows that I can't think of the right words atm to express how much I love this piece. Guuuhhh I really really love the contrast going on here with the warm and cool colors. That, and just the colors choices define each character so well. Gosh, and combined with their pose/gazes. Hee hee heee Alex's choice of warm colors just begs Daniel to come by to the light~
